Who are you spending time with?
Jim Rome says that you are the average of the five people you spend the most time with. If you look in your life right now, your closest social circles, the people you're spending most of your time with you will realize that you are more than likely the average of those five.
And what I always like to say is average up, surround yourself with people who inspire you, who lift you up, who raise that natural average.
You want to surround yourself with people who are doing incredible things, things that you admire and respect and hopefully, you are doing the same for them and inspiring them to do the same.
Our environment is such a powerful predictor of our level of greatness, yes we can, believe it in and achieve it and all of this, but the environment, the fertile soil that we plant ourselves in becomes this strong foundation.
This environment around is truly a catalyst for our growth.
I know my life shifted massively the moment that I left relationships that weren't serving me. Relationships that I felt were bringing me down and I started surrounding myself with people that I admired and I respected, people that inspired me.
So take a look at the people in your life and notice is this person lifting me up or are they bringing me down?
And it's not about just cutting people off and saying I don't care about them or being insensitive in any way, but we have to understand that it is our lives that we're living. Why would you surround yourself with people who aren't lifting you?
Find the people who are bringing you toward greatness, surround yourself with them and see what happens.
